The Hunt
It was Religare, one of the leading integrated financial groups in India, having a foray into mutual fund business. And we were assigned the task of creating a portal, which could serve as a platform for this financial stalwart, voice out their expertise, in a subtle but effective way. |

The Labs Touch
Given the task, to showcase Religare mutual fund entity through a website, we sprang almost instantly. We began by brain-storming on many aspects of the website. The creative side, presentational techniques, use of interactives, everything was discussed in-depth to churn out an effective model.
For instance, if we see the opening page of the website, it has been divided into “Investors” and Distributors” section. We employed this technique keeping in mind the TG. It was obvious that an investor would have different informational needs when compared with a distributor. Thus, synthesizing of matter according to one’s requirement was a golden rule that we used throughout the website.
Going further, we aimed at sprinkling a human element into the website. We used images in the masthead banners which were not abstract or static but were signifying a degree of belongingness. We further extended this feeling by giving masthead liners to propel the user in understanding the pages. We also laid emphasis on creating well-defined sections. This further helped us in easing out the navigation process for a user.
We hit another victorious patch when a very successful Knowledge Centre section was created. During our occupancy in this segment, we resisted in divulging all the financial information in one go. Instead, we gave utmost importance in employing a step-by-step method for easy and effective understanding of the learning curves. For e.g. our “Fundamentals of Investing” and “8 Simple Fundas of Investing” sub-section among others was worked out brilliantly. It had a textual feel to it starting from an Index page and subsequently leading to chapters.
Our core thought in creating Knowledge Centre section was to give a touch of completeness to the website. For the same reason, even Tools & Calculators section was created. Thus, it was our expertise and aesthetic qualities which we used radically throughout the website. |

Result
What we achieved was what we had aimed.
The website turned out to be a navigational experience for its brilliant steering into financial processes. The trick was to keep “simplicity” at the centre-stage without losing the grip on creative presentation. And we glad to say that the result was more than just a “website creation” process. |
